Shchetkina Marianna

Born November 20, 1958 in the Murmansk Province of the Russian Federation.

In 1982 graduated from Leningrad State University named after A.Zhdanov (specialty “Physics”), 2007 —Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus (specialty “State Administration of the Social Sphere”), 2012 — research degree of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus (specialty “Management Sociology”).

Started her professional career in Minsk as an engineer in production association “Integral” named after the XXV Communist Party Congress.

Since 1985 — engineer of the North Branch of the Institute of Acoustics, Severomorsk, Murmansk Province.

From 1986 to 1990 — teacher of physics in the grammar school No 10, Severomorsk, Murmansk Province.

From 1990 to 1994 — teacher of physics in the grammar school No 198, Minsk.

From 1994 to 2001 — Deputy Director for studies and pedagogical work, Director of the grammar school No 198, Minsk.

From 2001 to 2003 — chief of the education department of Frunzensky District Minsk City District Administrations.

From 2003 to 2005 — Deputy Head of Leninsky District Minsk City District Administrations.

From 2005 to 2007 — Chairman of the Committee for Labour and Social Security of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

From 2007 to 2009 — Deputy Minister, First Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus.

From 2009 to 2016 — Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus.

16 September 2016 elected Member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the 6th convocation from the City of Minsk. 12 October — Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the sixth convocation.

Ph.D. in Social Sciences, author of 36 of research works and publications.

Chairman of the public association “Belarusian Women’s Union”.

Has the Appreciation Certificates of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
