Rusetsky Anatoly

Biography

 Born 14 February 1951 in Borisov (Minsk Province). 

In 1973 Mr Rusetsky graduated from the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute (with distinction) (Precision Machinery Equipment). 

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Scientist in electronic engineering. 

He began his professional career as a designer of the Specialized Design Technology Bureau with Pilot Production of the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic. 

From 1977 — a Chief engineer of the Minsk branch of the Moscow Technological Design Bureau, next — a Chief designer of the Special Design Bureau “Impulse” of the Ministry of Radio Industry of the USSR.

From 1981 till 1997 he worked at the Science and Production Association “Planar” of the Ministry of Electronic Industry of the USSR, where he rose from a Chief engineer to the Director of the Association.

From 1997 till 2002 — Deputy, First Deputy of the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus.

From 2002 till 2003 — Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology under the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.

From 2003 till 2009 — Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus.

In December 2009 Mr Anatoly Rusetsky was appointed the Director of the State Scientific Institution «A.V. Luikov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus» and in December 2010 — the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

On 25 September 2012 he was elected a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the 5th convocation from the City of Minsk, on 19 October — Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the 5th convocation.

Mr Rusetsky is the author of more than 70 scientific works, has got 12 inventor’s certificates and patents. Under his supervision a new generation of optical mechanics, assembling, inspection and measurement equipment for submicron production was elaborated.

Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus in the field of science and technology (1996).

Mr Rusetsky was awarded a medal “For Labour Merit”, two Certificates of Honour of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, 11 Jubilee Medals and Badges of Honour.
